Here is an example of an interview in which an interviewer applies a double manipulation by using the interviewee`s text and by creating his answers adequately. This manipulation is not aiming for a political propaganda but exclusively for media success, i.e. at moving the readers.

Irena Kamińska-Szmaj : Abusive Words in Inter-Textual Space
The aim of the article is a presentation of different ways of using someone else.s words in invective speeches extracted from political texts from different époques. The analyzed material proves that word inter-penetration, inter-textual relations of all kinds, have basically pragmatic dimension, and that political discourse is based on time unlimited inter-textuality expanding beyond intra-genre and intra-stylistic frames.

Joanna Szadura : Differentiation of the Pictures of pożar (Fire) in Polish
The analysis of linguistic-cultural material representative for standard and rural Polish as well as for the fire brigade socio-dialect led to significant differentiation of reconstructed pictures of pożar (fire), which is a consequence of acquisition of a culturally determined attitude by the subject, depending on the knowledge and developing a certain interpretative perspective. In rural culture adopting common-sensical attitude, fire is taken as a living creature. Parallel to that, fire is considered a sign of sacrum. This conceptualization of pożar remains in accordance with the practices of wypraszanie/ wyprowadzanie pożaru (throwing away/dismissing fire), or closing it in a magic circle. Firemen&s language is the technical one, pursuing for rational perception of reality, the scholarly way of looking at things. Pożar in the firemen.s eyes is estimated in the categories of its real reasons and practical ways to eliminate it. In contemporary standard Polish, the "naď`ve" (typical of folklore) and scholarly perspective (present in the specialist jargon) interpenetrate.

Anna Czechowska : On the Ways of Expressing Requests in Polish (by Second-Language Learners)
The article is devoted to the explanation how requests were expressed by non-native speakers of Polish. The instrument used in the study was a discourse- completion test (DCT), developed for researching the speech act realization of second-language learners. The investigations were carried out in Poland and abroad among students from various European countries. In the paper the different request formulae were presented and analyzed. The illocutionary force of requests was modified by three general ways: the imperative, interrogative and indicative mood. Additionally, the second goal of the study is an answer if requests of second-language learners convey politeness value according to the Polish rules of politeness.

Katarzyna Węgrowska : The Ambronyms
The article presents a semantic-motivational as well as structural analysis of 53 ambronyms: a) names of objects / designates made of bursztyn (amber), b) ambronyms motivated by the bursztyn appellative and by its equivalents (e.g. jantar). The linguistic analysis refers to the following types of ambronyms: thesauronyms, chrematonyms, anthroponyms, toponyms and ideonyms. The paper is a continuation of the series on the lexical "bursztynowa kolekcja" (the amber collection).

Paweł Paziak : Semantic Connotations of krew (Blood) in K.K. Baczyński`s Poetry
The article contains a semantic analysis of the lexeme krew (blood), which is one of the most frequently used somatic expressions in K.K. Baczyński`s poetry. Only one meaning bears a positive connotation, namely `life` (życie). Other meanings are associated with `evil`, `danger` and ultimately with `death`. In the semantic description of the word you can observe its rich cultural and colloquial associations. The lexeme krew (blood) is also a common element of phrasal expressions.
